Week of January 20th


Ride the Wave to Learning…

Reading- We will continue our poetry unit. Students will learn about different types of poetry and work on their poetry notebook. Students will create original poems.

ELA- Students will finish creating their action plan posters.  They will begin presenting their posters. (Capitalization Test Wednesday)

Math- Students will learn how to add/subtract mixed numbers.

Science- Students will begin learning about magnetism. (Electricity Test Wednesday)

Social Studies
- We will continue discussing the major battles of the Revolutionary War. (Rev. War Battles Test Friday)

Jan. 20th – 2nd 9-Weeks Report Cards
Jan. 23rd – School Spirit Day (Wear an OES shirt)
Jan. 23rd – 2nd 9-Weeks Awards Day: 3rd & 4th @ 8:30am, 1st & 2nd @ 9:30am
Feb. 3rd – PTA/Science Fair; 6:30pm in our school’s cafeteria
 
Surfer of the Week
 

Timberlea Cooke is the surfer of the week. She has shown the life skill of friendship by being a friend to all classmates. Way to go Timberlea!
