Week of March 16th


Ride the Wave to Learning…

Reading- Students will begin Book Clubs with their chosen novel. Students will be focusing on the character traits in their novels.

ELA- Students will finish writing their tall tales and begin looking at student examples of expository writing to understand the best writing practices.

Math- Students will learn about mean, median, mode, and range. In addition, they will be learning about attributes of circles. Math (MAP test will be Tuesday, March 24th)

Science- Students will start the Weather unit with learning about types of clouds and the water cycle. (Astronomy Test #2 Tuesday, March 17th)

Social Studies
- We will begin learning about the early leaders of our nation and their impact on our government system.

Surfer of the Week
 

Emma is the surfer of the week. She has shown the life skill of pride by doing her best on every assignment. Way to go Emma!

Homework for the Week:
*Students need to study their Astronomy notes. They will be tested on the phases of the moon, tides, and telescopes.  
 *Students need to study the table of measurements sheet. They will have a test Friday.
